Aboitiz Power Corp. (APC) announced last Thursday of having renewed its retail electricity supply partnership with NoBia Inc., the commissary of the Max’s Group Inc.

Under the supply partnership, APC agreed to supply 1,200 kilowatts (KW) to NoBia’s food manufacturing and distribution center in Carmona, Cavite for the next four years.

Each month, the facility produces over 2,000 metric tons of food, supporting over 300 retail partner stores, as well as a local network of more than 600 stores in the country.

“NoBia Inc.’s dedication to evolving their menu offerings and enhancing their capabilities illustrates their unwavering commitment to leading the way in service excellence in food manufacturing and distribution. It is APC’s privilege to support that with the clean and reliable energy it can and will deliver,” APC Retail Head James Byron P. Yu said.

Yu explained that in support of “Open Access,” APC’s retail electricity services gives its partners and customers affordable access to dependable power via tailor-fit energy solutions, power quality and efficiency audits, and other value-added services. “Our partnership with APC mirrors our brand values [of being] genuine, thoughtful, and delightful. Leveraging on APC’s renewable energy not only allows us to serve countless Filipino individuals with our culinary offerings but also adds significant value to the Max’s Group’s mission,” said NoBia Inc. President Cristina T. Garcia.

NoBia serves as the commissary for Max’s Group, which includes restaurants such as Krispy Kreme, Yellow Cab, Pancake House and Max’s Restaurant.

APC is shifting its generation mix to reach at least 4,600 MW, or 50 percent of its generation portfolio by the next decade.

Currently, close to 1,000 MW of APC RE projects—including wind and solar farms and more geothermal capacities—are in the pipeline.
